A Word From P-Sizzle

We are a 6-8th grade mission team from First United Methodist Church of Normal, IL. We decided to bring along a laptop so that the members of our Jr. High mission team can share their experiences. We hope that others will be included in our mission through this blog.

Being Community

Tonight's devotional was the story of Mary and Martha and a reminder that relationships are the primary concern for us during this week.  We should not let the busy-ness of our worktrip become a distraction from relationships:  relationships with one another, relationships with this community, and relationships with God.

A concern for relationship above all else is what brought Christ to us and took Him to the cross.  As we took communion we were reminded of this as we touched the bread and tasted the juice.   -Scott

    I'm so proud of these kids and so very grateful that they have Scott, Anthony, Danelle and Carrie to guide them on another significant part of their faith journey. God is so good to put us all together! God is good!
